| Schedule: | MWF 2:30-3:20 in 209 Thomas |
| Textbook: | Statistical Methods in the Biological and Health Sciences by J. Susan Milton |
| Grading: | Grades will be based on homework assignments (20%), a final course project (15%), two in-class open-book midterm exams (20% each), and a comprehensive open-book final exam (25%). |
| Calculator: | You should have a calculator with you, though it doesn't have to have any sort of statistical functionality. It only needs to be able to handle basic operations and square roots. |
| Integrity policy: | All Penn State and Eberly College of Science policies regarding academic integrity apply to this course. See http://www.science.psu.edu/academic/Integrity/index.html for details. In short, everything you turn in must be your own work (unless it's a group project). That said, however, I encourage you to work with your fellow students to solve homework problems; just make sure that what you turn in comes from you, even if you're merely rewriting in your own words what someone else has explained to you. |
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Email is best.
