Departmental Centers

The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) is an educational and service unit which functions to provide statistical advice, statistical analyses, project management, and data management for the university and private research community.

The Center for Multivariate Analysis functions to create opportunities for scholars from all over the world to visit and conduct research on multivariate analysis.

The Center for Statistical Ecology and Environmental Statistics functions to enhance environmental and ecological preservation and management by using valid statistical methods, as well as to advance the field of statistics through studies on the environment.

The Center for Likelihood Studies fosters a creative and interactive environment for students and faculty who share common intersts in the area of likelihood theory and methods.

The Statistical Consulting Center for Astronomy (SCCA) is a team of Penn State faculty with interest and expertise in statistical problems arising in astronomical research.

The Center for Astrostatistics is an interdisciplinary center to serve the astronomy and statistics community worldwide, in part through a multifaceted web site.

Other Relevant Centers

The Bioinformatics Consulting Center (BCC) is a service unit within the Life Sciences Consortium at Penn State. The BCC, comprised of biologists, statisticians and computer scientists, provides assistance in data management, experiment design and analysis required for genomics and proteomics research.

The Department of Health Evaluation Sciences, located at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, provides leadership in statistical, methodological, data management, and research computing aspects of clinical, basic sciences, and epidemiological research.

The Methodology Center is devoted to the advancement and dissemination of methodology for research in health and human development.

The Population Research Institute (PRI) encourages, organizes, and supports innovative research and training in the population sciences.
