Interested students may specialize
in statistical ecology and/or environmental statistics.
Students can schedule elective courses such as STAT
524,
527, 528, 508, and 548, in addition to courses of interest
offered across campus in environmental and ecological
programs.
Students may also participate in the department's
Center for Statistical Ecology and Environmental Statistics
as graduate research assistants or as interns at the
collaborating agency sites during summers.
Students benefit
from ongoing mini-seminars on individual collaborative
research between interested University faculty and
visiting agency scientists. These involvements can
lead to Ph.D. dissertations and master's theses. |
