Conferences and Workshops

• A two-day workshop on "Current Trends in Bayesian Methods" was held on 25 and 26 April 2003. At the workshop James O. Berger, Arts and Sciences Professor of Statistics at Duke University, gave the Krishnaiah Memorial Lectures. Bradley Efron, the Max H. Stein Professor in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University, was awarded the C.R. Rao Prize for outstanding research in statistics.
• Workshop on Pattern Recognition and Prediction Machine Learning and Data Mining on 22 July 2001 with keynote speaker Leo Breiman
• Workshop on Wavelets in Statistics on 6 May 2000 in memory of P. R. Krishnaiah
• "Science, Computation and the Mind" Lecture by Sir Roger Penrose on 28 October 1999 in memory of Chinubhai Khatri
