Statistics Major Requirements:
Biostatistics Option

(pdf version of biostatistics option requirements)

In addition to the general education and statistics, mathematics, and computer science requirements for all statistics majors, students selecting the biostatistics option must satisfy the requirements below. The total credits for the courses below plus those in the statistics, mathematics, and computer science category must total 72. Together with the 48 required general education requirements, this is a total of 120 credits. Note that the general education requirements for the biostatistics option are slightly different from other options: students electing biostatistics must take CHEM 012 and 014 and BIOL 110 as 8 of their 9 natural sciences credits.
