Opportunities for Undergraduates

STATISTICS
"...the most important science in the whole world:
for upon it depends the practical application of every other science and of every art:
the one science essential to all political and social administration, all education, all organization based on experience, for it only gives results of our experience."

Florence Nightingale

The department of statistics at Penn State has offered undergraduate majors in statistics since 1995. Because of the small number of students in the major, the flexibility of our undergraduate program, and the career opportunities available for students trained in statistics, the undergraduate program in statistics at Penn State is an appealing course of study.
