Course Coverage Chapters 6-9 of Hogg and Tanis
Adjustment is expected based on the class progress.
Course requirement Requirements for the course include up to THREE in-class midterms (60%), homeworks (10%), and a comprehensive final exam (30%).
Homework Homework will be assigned in class and will typically comprise problems from Hogg and Tanis. In order to get familiarity in application, MINITAB (Maple) exercises may be assigned. Using Minitab (Maple) is not mandatory and other software (including pencils) can be used.
Homework assignments can also be obtained through the Stat 415 Homepage. Solutions for all homeworks will be posted on this website.
There will be NO LATE HOMEWORK. If, due to sickness, family emergencies etc, you need to miss class, please notify the instructor to make alternate arrangements.
Final Exam The final exam will be comprehensive.
Grades Every grade will be allocated to 7-8 individuals (approx. 13%). Tentative
