Cost of Money Order/Transference: Participants are responsible
for any bank fees relating to the money order or transference.
WARNING: When making a wire transfer, fees of 20-25 USD are often
(though not always) deducted from the designated transference amount.
The Omega Bank representative did not give an adequate explanation
for such additional deductions. We emphasize that these charges are
in addition to the the bank charges that are explained when making
money transfer. Moreover, there is no notification to the sender that
additional charges have been applied to the designated amount.
Therefore, we now recommend that payment be made by check
or money order, whenever possible.
