  • Data Analysis for a Music Company. Students are asked to analyze the data from a survey about the music interests and habits of 227 students.   Submitted by William Harkness.
  • Inference for a Mean. Students are asked to randomly sample from a population to create a confidence interval and perform a hypothesis test about a mean and the difference in paired means. Submitted by Mosuk Chow.
  • Good Poll, Bad Poll. Students work in groups to create a good poll and a bad poll. The students are asked to submit a how-to-manual and a news article for each type of poll. Submitted by Laura J. Simon.
  • Reading Scientific Journal Articles. Students are asked to read and evaluate two different scientific journal articles. Submitted by Laura J. Simon.
  • Guessing the Population of Turkey. Students are asked to analyze the data from an experiment to see if the information on a data collection form influences the responses. Submitted by Laura J. Simon.
