Mission

The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) is an educational and service unit in Penn State's Department of Statistics. Our members are faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students from Statistics, Computer Science/Engineering, and Management Science/ Information Systems. We provide advice, project management, data management and statistical analysis for the university and private research community.

The SCC has a Three Part Mission

 

Research Participation

To provide high quality statistical input to high quality research projects.

 

Education

To train statisticians to interact effectively with investigators from other disciplines.

 

Collaboration

To encourage collaborative research between statisticians and investigators from other disciplines.
